The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay and Proshred will host a community Shred-a-thon fundraising event on Saturday, April 28, 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon in the parking lot of Tampa Preparatory School, 727 W. Cass Street in Tampa.
Local residents and business owners are invited to help prevent identity theft by bringing their obsolete documents to be shredded. Proshred will have a specially-designed, state-of-the-art shredding truck on site to destroy documents. The cost is $10 per copy paper-size box. All proceeds benefit the Crisis Center’s programs and services. It typically costs $25 to shred a box of documents so the public realizes a $15 per box savings while at the same time supporting the Crisis Center.
