International Day against bullying and discrimination in communities

Today, April 11th, 2012 is the International Day of Pink. This was started in Canada when 2 students saw another student being bullyed for wearing pink, and being gay. Those students stopped the bullying, but felt they needed to do more. They soon spread the word throughout the school and everyone united to wear pink and stand up against bullying and discrimination on that day.

Their message was clear: anyone can bully, any can be victimized by bullying, but together we can stop it.

Now, people wear pink on this day to remember that change begins with each of us, and our actions can make a difference.
